December Update

We hope everyone is doing well.
It has been a crazy month for us since our last update. We have some good news and some bad news to share with you today.
Let start directly with the bad one:
DELAYS:
We are sorry to inform you all that we are experiencing delays, this is not only affecting you but also us and we are trying to correct everything as fast as we can!
This is mainly due to 2 factors, some of our suppliers are taking more time than expected to deliver the raw material and custom parts. The other one is that the molds regarding the plastic parts took a bit longer to make as some of our parts are pretty complex and need more attention. We do not want to cut corners and rush the process as this will impact a lot the final product so we made the decision to spend more time than planned just to get things the way we wanted and aim for the best quality possible. The good news is that making those modifications allow us to use a different material and the parts will be much stronger than any other electronic device that is out there.
We will be in China at the beginning of January and we expect to receive the first plastic parts around the 8th and all the other parts in the next following days. From that point, we will start assembling.
Here is the new timeline for shipment:
-The Golden Quark Perk: As the perk says you will be the first one to receive your Quark. You are the first on the list no matter when you order and we are planning to send it at the beginning of February.
-All Other Perks: We will be sending those in the order they appear after we have fulfilled the Golden Quark perks, around the middle of March.
Again, we apologize for the delay and are trying to push everything as quickly as we can.
We will be able to share more details and pictures of the first parts when in China over the next month.
Here is some news from what happened in the last weeks and what we have been working on:
WEBSITE:
We have been pretty busy with every aspect of the project, as you might have seen, we have a new website where you can now order all the accessories and packs separately.
CASE:
We have also received the new case for the quark and they look amazing, check them out!
We have been adding a custom foam inside for a better fit, a bigger carabiner, a zipper with the logo and the logo on top is now on a clean rubber plate.
PACKAGING:
We also have received the last packaging prototype without any artwork on it to check the fitting.
They look amazing! Please note that your Quark will be delivered with additional GoPro mount, screws, and sticky plate.
Minor details need to be adjusted on the foam and we are ordering the final one with the final artwork on it!
KITE-LINE MOUNT:
We should be receiving the first one around the 5th of January.
Please note that it is a fully customable mount and that the Quark won't fit other similar mounts on the market like the "Beast Mount" as the internal size is not the same. It might fit other ones, but we highly recommend you use it with the one we have developed because it had one more degree of stability.
Again, we apologize for these delays. We are a small team working hard 7 days a week to deliver you a quality product!

Well it’s better to put out a strong reliable product than to put a rushed product that won’t last a few months,at the end of the day we want something that can take the abuse of everyday use.id rather wait til y’all know for sure we would get something awesome and worth waiting for.

Being all too familiar with the production part of this industry it happens with first time design/builds. Ultimately what matters is you produce a QUALITY product first time around! Anxiously awaiting my Quark …..

Thanks for the update guys. I work for an electro-mechanical manufacturing company and know these kind of delays all too well! I appreciate you taking the time to get it right rather than rushing it out! Have fun in China.

As Simon said, I would also agree with this. I purchased a product that was produced in China last year and had the same issue’s as Simon had stated. So most likely won’t get the product til April or May.

Yes, we are aware of that and are trying to push everything before that holiday.

Be aware of the long Chinese New Year holiday season in early/ mid February. Your production line will be affected even before the start, as many workers will leave for their hometowns weeks beforehand. As this is a major holiday in China, don’t expect your production line at full tilt until March. Do consider and factor this in your planning.

I agree with Lance, no need to rush, I will not mind wait more, but receive a strong and reliable piece of equipment, out of the factory with full proper QA/QC.
